A CHINESE SILVER-MOUNTED CARVED IVORY TEA CADDY**
Circa 1780
Rectangular, the hinged lid with scroll lifting handle enclosing a velvet-lined divided interior, the case and lid deeply carved with landscape cartouches on a finely scrolled ground and within Greek key borders, on claw-and-ball feet, fitted with a pair of silver lidded cut-glass caddies and a sugar bowl, the silver with maker's mark I.P. for Joseph Preedy, London (1777-1783)
