The circular silvered-brass chapter ring with Roman and Arabic hours signed James Boyce/London, enclosing a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the two train movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking the hour on a bell, with spandrels cast as two putti holding aloft the Royal Crown, in a front-sliding hood with overhanging stepped molding and glazed sides, the case with trunk door and circular lenticle, on a stepped base, decorated overall with floral marquetry, with later skirt and bracket feet, case and works possibly associated, lacking pendulum, currently inoperable
