All of traditional form, the first decorated with stylized Pan-Slavic vari-colored cloisonn enamel motifs on silver-gilt stippled ground on four bracket feet, the second with similar cloisonn enamel design, the back decorated with stylized birds within turquoise blue pellet borders, with square base, the third, silver-gilt, the hinged cover with the engraved Russian adage 'Without salt and without bread, it is only half a meal'
