lithograph in colors, 1896-7, on laid paper, watermark MBM France, Druick's third (final) state, after the removal of the lithographic inscription, from the edition of about 100 in the state (there were also 100 in black in the first state and 100 in colors in the second state), with full margins, very pale soiling and mat-staining in the margins, a tiny loss and associated small tear at the tip of the top left margin corner, otherwise in very good condition, framed

Lot Essay

Czanne made very few prints during his career but fittingly he decided to make two versions of bathing subjects which represent his work at its most monumental (see also Lot 3).
