MACAO PASSAGE ON THE PEARL RIVER

About three miles south of Canton a junk filled with figures sails by an island with a customs house, at the left is visible the Dahuangjiao Fort or 'Yellow Pagoda Fort', captured by 160 British troops at one point during the Opium Wars.
