A RARE PAIR OF PRONK PORCELAIN WINE COOLERS
Circa 1738-1740
Painted in the Chinese Imari palette with the famous scene known as La dame au parasol after the design of Cornelis Pronk for the Dutch East India Company, all above asymmetrical rococo moulding highlighted in a feathered blue and between outscrolled blue handles moulded with scallop shells, the interiors with a narrow iron-red and gilt cell border interrupted with panels of maidens alternating with ducks
