Painted in inky tones of cobalt blue with the well-known scene designed by Cornelis Pronk showing a group of ladies and children amusing themselves by a topiary arbor, a duck pond in the foreground and a large rosebush at one side, the rim with a distinctive patterned ground displaying cartouches of insects, fruit and flower sprigs, on its back a narrow blue lambrequin border
