A fine patchwork coverlet of printed cottons and chintz, the small hexagon patches pieced to form a central large elongated hexagon, within frames of stylised flowerheads, the outer border formed from various patches either side of a line of red hexagons, with later valence and backing of green cotton sateen--66 x 76in. (165 x 190cm.), the central field mid 19th century with cottons dating from the early 19th century, with late 19th/early 20th century outer flowerhead border and frame, the sateen early 20th century, slight wear and some re-patching to the central field
