Lot Essay

The silk appears in a sample book for the Wiener Werksttte, circa 1912. Entitled "Kanarienvogel", it was designed by Mitzi Vogel in 1910-11. See "Textiles of the Wiener Werksttte 1910-1932", Angela Vlker, 1994, London, pps. 64-65 for an illustration of the sample book.
