Of baluster form the coiled snake handles issuing from mask terminals the neck with quatrefoil cartouches of a putto holding a bunch of grapes and a fortress, the body with a battle scene below a star enclosing the letter S and inscribed Agostino Ratti fece. in Savona 1772 and above a spigot escutcheon moulded as a grotesque mask, the reverse with putti harvesting grapes from tree-like vines, each reserved within foliate cartouches on a ground of scrolling flowering acanthus, the underside in red with colletor's number 76.39
