An agateware miniature cradle
Circa 1750, probably Staffordshire
Of marbled cream and brown-coloured clays, on two semicircular rockers, the sides cut with dentils, the curved hood applied with two cream-coloured knobs and three cream-coloured finials (each rocker with one end lacking, two corners of hood chipped)
5 in. (14 cm.) long
Provenance
By repute this was given to the current owner's great, great grandmother by the then Lord Barnard on the birth of her first child.
