The shaped gilt dentil rim above a broad mazarine-blue-ground border reserved with four shaped cartouches painted with birds in flight and perched on branches within elaborate gilt trellis, flower and foliage, the well gilded with a band of dart and trefoil ornament, the centre painted with scattered fruits, foliage, a butterfly and insects, the reverse with four gilded flower-sprays and scattered flowerheads (gilding slightly worn on rim, other areas of gilding very slightly worn)
