A Dutch Delft polychrome armorial plate
Early 18th Century
Inscribed G:V:LEEUWEN in black below the central arms with a red rampant lion and three black rectangles, surmounted by a blue helmet with a lion crest and flanked by boldly scrolling mantling, the border edged with ogival panels alternating with stylised flowerheads and dot-ornament divided by scrolling foliage, brown line rim, enriched with gilding (slight chipping and flaking to rim)
8.7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) diam.

The arms are those of Van Leeuwen family.
