A Meissen group of two skaters
Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark and Pressnummer 40.
Modelled by P. Reinicke as a gallant kneeling at his companion's feet and putting on her skates, both wearing fur-lined pink coats, he in a turquoise waistcoat and black breeches, she in a yellow-hemmed flowered dress, on an oval gilt scroll-moulded base (minute chip to his hat, hair ribbon, his left index finger and thumb, her skate, strap of skate lacking, slight flaking to black enamel)
