A Meissen gold-mounted snuff-box in the form of a mouse
Circa 1750, the contemporary mounts with later 19th Century control mark
Naturally modelled with its tail curled up over its left hind leg, with a white coat and pale-pink ears, nose, mouth and claws, resting on a pale-yellow oval mound with indianische Blumen, the cover with flower-sprays and a loose bouquet, the interior of the cover with mice crawling all over eggs resting in hay, the interior richly gilt (slight wear to enamels of cover exterior)
