Two wool appliqu joined and pieced coverlets, the ivory ground applied and embroidered in coloured wools with raised work details, the centre with roses, pansies, ears of corn, convolulous and other flowers within ribbon garlands, the field sprigged with flowers, acorns, strawberries, also with bees and butterflies, one within a similar two sided border with ribbon trails, flowers, fruit and insects, trimmed with a later filet work, the other cut down--88 x 78in. (220 x 195cm.) and 69 x 102in. (173 x 255cm.), second half of the 18th century, backed, some holing to the ground, some damage, wear and repairs
