William IV Henry Friso, Prince of Orange-Nassau, the son of John William Friso of Orange-Nassau and Maria Louisa of Hesse-Kassel, was born in 1711. He married Princess Anne of Hanover in 1734 and died at The Hague in 1751. William IV was the sponsor of the Swiss miniaturist Robert Mussard who painted him and his family several times.
