Slightly tapering rectangular ivory tui--tablettes of flattened oblong section with slightly arched top, the front side of the cover centred with pierced gold motto SOUVENIR within a scrolling foliage cartouche, the front and rear sides of the base inset with two oval enamel plaques painted en grisaille on a blue ground with girls in classical dresses, within gold frames stamped with a scalloped and a pierced floral border, the gold mounts stamped with stylized flowerheads alternating with ovolos, inside three-leaved tablets and a gold-capped pencil
