Lot Essay

Sir Wilfred Lawson married Anne, daughter of John Hartley of Whitehaven but died issueless when the Baronetcy expired. Sir Wilfred bequeathed his estates to the nephew of his wife, Thomas Wybergh who assumed in consequence the surname and arms of Lawson.
