A SWISS GOLD-MOUNTED ENAMEL NECESSAIRE WITH GOLD IMPLEMENTS
Geneva, circa 1815, the gold implements struck with the restricted French warranty mark for gold
Funnel-shaped tui with circular top, enamelled in opaque dark and light blue and with flowers in gold and colour paillons, the gold mounts stamped with floral wavescroll bands, the base inscribed with GAGE DAMITIER [sic] and the cover with SOUVENIR D'AMITI [sic], the hinged top opening to reveal the interior fitted for gold scissors with steel blades, a gold topped pencil, a gold bodkin with ear-spoon and a flattened gold needle case
