Octagonal box, the cover and base engine-turned with a wavy horizontal pattern centred by a hexagonal reserve, the cover reserve stamped with two nude flower nymphs surrounding a flower vase and holding a floral festoon, on a matted ground, cover and base framed by bands of engine-turned reeding with lotus flowers in the corners, the slightly canted sides engine-turned with horizontal reeding and surrounded by frosted bands stamped with trailing foliage enclosing flowerheads, slightly raised engraved thumbpiece
