cover 1876 (30 May) illustrated envelope (worm damage, cleaned and repaired) to Nagasaki bearing 1875-76 5s. green cancelled by the 1876 crossroads cancellation and showing a fine strike of the "I.J. POSTAL AGENCY/SHANGHAI" type 1 c.d.s. alongside and faint Nagasaki arrival on the reverse, a very early date. With R.P.S. Certificate which cannot state whether the stamp originated on this cover, however, it is unusual for these stamps to be tied and the postmark is correct. Photo
