A SET OF FIVE LATE MING ENAMELLED SERVING DISHES, AND A PAIR OF TURQUOISE ENAMELLED SAUCER-DISHES
first half 17th century, the saucer-dishes possibly Fujian
The serving dishes each colourfully enamelled in predominantly green, mustard yellow and iron-red with a flock of ten birds in flight above rockwork issuing leafy reeds and bamboo, Chenghua six character marks, one with a rim frit; the saucer-dishes each enamelled in blue with black outlines to the well interior with pairs of confronted ducks and lotus plants, a lotus sprig at the centre
