Comprising a slender baluster vase, and two beaker vases, each brightly enamelled with two elongated quatrefoil panels enclosing figures in retreats, pagodas and other buildings in mountainous riverscapes below pine trees, clouds and the moon, divided by vases of peony, magnolia, daisy and rose, below elaborate phoenix and floral shaped lappets, the beakers with necks restored, the baluster vase with later replacement cover
the beakers 18 in. (46 cm.) high overall (3)

Lot Essay

A pair of very similar baluster vases and covers from the F. Kreisler Collection, Berlin, were exhibited, Austellung Chinesischer Kunst, Berlin, 1929, Catalogue, no.1039.
