Fritz Held - Hermann Lang; a fine early motoring trophy cup awarded originally to Fritz Held for victory in the Mainz-Coblenz- Mainz Reliability Trial of 1899; this trophy was presented to Hermann Lang in 1946 by Fritz Held, when he offered the trophy as first prize in the newly constituted hill climb event at Ruhestein in July 1946. It is engraved and inscribed on both sides, with original dedication to Held from 1899 and more recently for "Dem Sieger Rennwagen der Fritz Held Gedachtnislaufesheim - 21 Juli 1946." Height 11ins (29cm)
