A magnificent ornamental trophy awarded to Hermann Lang for the prestigious motorcycle event at Hanau; beautifully sculpted and decorous gilded silver design incorporating an inverted shell of mother-of-pearl surmounted by a cherub riding a snail, supported by entwined icythioid forms rising from waters with swimming ducks thereon; the circular plinth bounded by rope-twist border below which is a highly ornate embossed and chased base with four applied winged cherubic heads; the rim of the lower base engraved and inscribed " I Preis Klass B - AMC Hanau, 1928" Height 12 ins (30cm)
