Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark, incised 7
The domed cover with flower finial, painted with loose bouquets of deutsche Blumen and gilt with an ombrierte cartouche enclosing the armorial device of Smith of Essex, the rim gilt with Laub-und-Bandelwerk, the body with branch handles and decorated with similar flowers
