Each with grooved frame, the arched crestrail flanked by acanthus leaf finials, above a rectangular padded back, arms and loose-cushioned seat upholstered with striped floral-patterned purple silk upholstery, the downswept and knuckled arms above patera-inset corners between a bowed seatrail, on turned and reeded tapering legs, each with museum accession printed label and typewritten inscription A pair of Bergeres Chairsstate of Mrs. H.B. Arnold. 55.51, another printed museum label with pencil inscription 97-55A and 97-55B, and black marker inscription ACC 55.51 C.C.F.A (2)
