The chatelaine designed with two griffins, each clasping an enamel coat-of-arms, with a greyhound below and openwork scroll and foliate detail to the gem-set crown, suspending an 18th century watch, with gilt-finished verge movement, engraved and pierced cock, chain fuse, and turned balluster pillar, the white circular dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute chapters and rose-cut diamond hands, enclosed in a tri-coloured floral and foliate surround and reverse, chatelaine circa 1890, watch circa 1780, in its original Froment-Meurice, Paris blue leather tooled fitted case, the cover embossed with C.P. and crown to front
