A pair of silver candlesticks
Marks unclear, possibly for Groningen, 1792/93, also struck with Dutch duty mark used 1859-93 for items of Dutch origin
Each circular baluster-shaped, the spreading base moulded and with swirling flutes floating in scrolls and waves to the shaped rim, the baluster-stem knobbed and spirally fluted, with foliate scroll-pattern, the vase-shaped socket decorated en suite and with spreading swirling and shaped rim, inscribed "I.V. MH."
