Maker's mark of Hendrik Boshart, Middelburg, 1772
Square outline with curved corners and moulded borders resting on four cast, husk and scroll feet with applied trailing flowers in between, the domed cover (with the later addition of a hinge), rising to a cast flower finial borded by applied trailing flowers

marked on base in centre and with later Dutch tax marks
