Diana is modelled as a nude woman with a drapery over her hips and holding a quiver in her left hand and with a dog at her heels, wearing a crescent head-dress (one finger restored, both legs of the dog restored), and Mercury as a nude man wearing a winged hat and holding a magic wand in his left arm, with a chicken at his side (neck, wing of chicken and wand restored), both on a square plinth painted in colours with scrolling foliage, the sides with stylised lappets
