A GEORGE II WALNUT AND BURR-WALNUT BUREAU-BOOKCASE
Crossbanded and featherbanded overall the moulded arched broken pediment centred by a later acanthus-wrapped giltwood cartouche above a pair of bevelled mirrored doors with re-entrant top corners enclosing three removable shelves above a pair of candle-slides, the lower section with gilt-tooled leather-lined fall-front enclosing six drawers, including one fitted, and pigeon-holes around a central cupboard door above a well with retractable cover, the sides with carrying-handles, with four graduated drawers, on bracket feet, restorations, the left-hand door interior reveneered and some minor reveneering, including the drawer rails in the lower section, the cornice possibly reshaped
