TWO WALNUT OPEN ARMCHAIRS
Late 17th Century
With rectangular padded back and seat covered in tasseled later foliate gros-point needlework, with spirally-turned arms, supports, legs and stretchers, later bun feet, the larger chair with the front-right leg, the toprail, one front stretcher and part of one side stretcher replaced in oak, the smaller chair with replaced back legs and side rails, both chairs originally caned (2)
