The tanto blade hira zukuri, uchizori, itamehada, suguha hamon, ubu nakago, mei: Kanetsuna, 16th century, 10in. (25.5cm.); in its black lacquer saya, matching ishimeji iron mounts, copper nanako tsuba decorated with a dragon, shiiremono kozuka, 19th century; the wakizashi blade honzukuri, iorimune, torii zori with chugissaki, itamehada, hamon is suguha of nioi, chu-maru boshi, ubu nakago, mei: Chojuken [Long Life Sword], 19th Century, 13in. (35cm.); in its aogai lacquer saya inlaid with roundels and mon, shibuichi fuchi-kashira with a hawk and geese in iroe takazogan, copper nanako tsuba inlaid with a mon, signed Hidetomo, copper and gilt flower menuki, copper kozuka inlaid with figures and a shibuichi kojiri inlaid with dragonflies, 19th century; an early Meiji period blade in semi-European style, with naginata hi, probably untempered, the tang numbered 171, in its 1873 pattern naval officers mounting with brass fittings decorated with cherry blossom, late 19th century; the fourth blade honzukuri, iorimune, torii zori with chugissaki, running itame hada, komidare hamon of nie with sunagashi, kaen boshi, bohi both sides of the blade mei: Kazusada (of Iwami Province), 15th Century, in a service mounting (4)
