The blade unokubizukuri with naginata-hi, chugissaki, itame-mokume hada with ji-nie, suguha hamon of ko-nie, chu-maru boshi, suriage nakago, 26in. (66cm.) in its brown lacquer part ribbed ishimeji saya decorated with a dragon, copper tachi mounts with katakiri of clouds, the saya with a matching dogane, gilt brass aoi tsuba with o-seppa and copper dragon menuki, 19th century; the second blade honzukuri, iorimune, torii zori with chugissaki, itamehada with ji-nie, suguha hamon of nie, midare-komi boshi, ubu nakago, there is what appears to be a cutting test inlaid in silver under the habaki which is pierced to display it, 22in. (58.1cm.), in a service mounting with a silver mon on the tsuka (2)
