Mei: Higo Kuni Arimune, 19th Century
The blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshi zori with chugissaki, masamehada with ji-nie, hamon is suguha with gunome of nioi, o-maru boshi, a dragon horimono on the omote, bonji on the ura, ubu nakago, 27in. (68.6cm.); in its nashiji lacquer saya, the upper part bound, silvered brass tachi mounts en suite edged with gilt and chiselled with foliage in kebori, matching aoi tsuba with o-seppa, gilt dragon menuki, 19th century, with Tachi stand (2)
