Ten Minton ornithological dessert plates
each painted with a specimen bird in a natural setting, inscribed with their common name in iron-red to the reverse, the border with turquoise and gilt openwork pattern reserved with gilt flowerheads on a seeded pattern ground, below gilt dentil rims, pattern A1351, circa 1860 (slight rubbing) -- 22.5cm. diam.
