A pair of Svres matt-red-ground plates (assiettes plate) en suite to the preceding lot, painted with vignettes of a classical ewer and a basin and a vase and bowl among dice, a beaker and a pad, the borders painted and gilt with stylised leaves and flowers, green S.54 and S.53 marks, iron-red crowned N marks, incised marks, one with L.G. mark to footrim for the gilder L. Guyonnet (light rubbing, one with a chip to the underside of the rim) -- 24.2cm. diam. See colour plate 11 (2)
