A RARE NEOLITHIC WHITE POTTERY STEM DISH, DOU
DAWENKOU CULTURE, CIRCA 2500 B.C.

The shallow, rounded dish raised on a pedestal base pierced with two circular apertures above the spreading foot ending in a raised rim with sharply cut inner edge, the polished surface of buff color, traces of earth encrustation, restored--7 7/8in. (20.cm.) diam.
