Very thinly potted jars of this type with impressed fabric patterns have been found in Warring States burials in Zhejiang province, as at Lizhu and in the area of Shanghai. A nearly globular impressed jar with a curved handle on one side was found at Qijiadun, Jinshanxian, Shanghai municipality. See Kaogu, 1973:1, pl. IV:1. Refer, also, to a jar in a private collection in Japan, Ancient Chinese Ceramics from the Neolithic to the Western Han, Tokyo, 1991, p. 62 (top)
