A GLAZED WHITE STONEWARE GLOBULAR JAR AND A COVER
TANG DYNASTY

The well-potted jar with short neck and lipped rim, the slightly domed cover with everted rim and bud finial, both covered with a glaze of milk-white tone, the glaze on the jar continuing into the interior and stopping at the edge of the flat base, glaze on jar degraded; together with a glazed white stoneware globular jar, Tang Dynasty, with a pair of lug handles on the shoulder, covered inside and out with a clear glaze over a white slip falling short of the flared solid foot to expose the ware, glaze degraded--6 3/4 and 5in. (17.1 and 12.7cm.) high (2)
