AN UNUSUAL SMALL HUOZHOUYAO CUP
YUAN DYNASTY

With shallow rounded sides rising from a slightly flared ring foot, the flat handle projecting from one side with bracketed outline and molded on top in thread relief with a fish, covered with a glaze of ivory tone stopping in an irregular line on the exterior to expose the fine-grained white ware beneath, a ring of five tiny spur marks on the interior, hair crack--4 5/16in. (10.cm.) across
