Finely carved with two descending, scaly, five-clawed dragons amidst clouds and above breaking waves on either side of a long, blank, rectangular cartouche, the sides with bats amidst clouds above further breaking waves and rockwork, the edges with key-pattern bands, the cover fitting snugly over the plain, black lacquer box with red lacquer base, minor flaking, some age cracks--15¼in. (38.6cm.) long
