A VERY LARGE MING BLUE AND WHITE "DRAGON" DISH
jiajing six-character mark and of the period (1522 - 1566)
Vividly painted to the centre with two five-clawed dragons chasing the flaming pearl above crested waves and amidst cloud wisps, all within triple bands below the rounded well and double bands below the rim, the exterior with nine dragons in various positions, all chasing flaming pearls above crested waves, between double circles below the rim and around the foot, the six-character mark within a rectangle below the rim, rim crack and fritting
