TWO SMALL WELL-CARVED GREEN AND WHITE JADEITE CARVINGS
One a brushwasher of tear-drop shape with conforming aperture, carved at one end with a cat, a bright emerald-green area of the stone used to highlight its rear haunches as well as the butterfly alighted on them, on the other side a squirrel walks along the edge, the attractive stone somewhat translucent and of predominately pale greenish white color with some pale lavender coloring; the other carving depicting a grasshopper and a wasp standing on top of a fallen lily stem, the wings of the insects highlighted by the translucent, deep emerald areas of the greenish-white stone--4 1/8 and 3in. (10.5 and 7.6cm.) long (2)
