TANG DYNASTY
Shown standing foursquare on a rectangular base, the turned taughtly to the side and modeled with a halter picked out in black pigment, with hogged mane and docked tail, the muscular body well proportioned and set with a cloth-covered saddle bearing traces of orange pigment, a dark red saddle blanket, beneath the other fittings detailed in black, the hoofs in red and the body with traces of white slip, some restoration--11¼in. (28.5cm.) high
