Originally a plain pear-shaped vase painted in underglaze-red with Buddhistic lions, and later decorated in Europe, possibly London or Holland, in overglaze enamels with three depictions of Hercules slaying the lion amidst tree and flower sprays, neck chip--7¼in. (18.3cm.) high
