A RETICULATED IRON-RED AND POWDER BLUE CUP
KANGXI

The sides pierced with a wide band of chrysanthemum and cell diaper between gilt and iron-red borders, restored rim chip--3in. (7.6cm.) high; together with a blue and white conical bowl, Jiajing mark, Shunzhi, painted on the exterior with Buddhistic lions alternating with peony sprays--5 7/8in. (15cm.) diam.; and a blue and white bowl, Jiajing mark, 17th century, painted in inky underglaze blue on the exterior with a frieze of boys at play, rim chip--4½in. (12.1cm.) diam. (3)
