The guns were completed in 1894 and took place in the record day at Abbeystead on the 12th., 13th. and 14th. August 1915 when the Marquis of Stafford and others shot 5,971 head of grouse. The Marquis shot the following to his own guns:- 301 on the first day, 242 on the second and 132 on the third. In the seventy drives that took place between August and November 1915, these guns averaged 33 grouse per drive
